2024 Educator Workforce Academy Opens with Visit to Randolph-Roanoke Career Tech Center

The 2024 East AlabamaWorks Educator Workforce Academy kicked off in September with a visit to the Randolph-Roanoke Career Tech Center. Participants spent the day learning about the basics of workforce development with presentations by Nancy Beggs from the University of Alabama and Eric Sewell from Southern Union State Community College. There was also a panel discussion about Key Topics in the Workplace featuring Danielle Presley from New Flyer, Jay Grubbs from Scout Talent Management, Janean Crawford from Coosa Valley Medical Center, and Krislyn Hanvey from Wellborn Cabinet. The group also enjoyed a tour of the school's Bloom's Cafe. The next session is set for October 17, 2024.
